One windy day, Kyle and Emily finished school and was ready for a refreshing autumn vacation. “I can’t wait for vacation to start!!! I’ve being so exited the whole month!” Emily cried. “Me too, and especially the day when you and I are going to go to dream land! All my friends have been there and they say it is amazing! There are dragon rides, robot coaster, and a mirror room! They say it was a challenge to get out of the mirror room. And I am ready for a challenge!” said Kyle, straightening his chest with pride and confidence.
The next week, the day Kyle and Emily was all waiting for finally came. “Woo hoo! Let’s go to the mirror room Emily!! I can’t wait for an adventure to start.” Screamed Kyle. “Be quiet! You’re embarrassing me! You know there are other people around.” Disciplined Emily. “Geez, sorry. Anyways let’s go!” Kyle and Emily rushed to the mirror room. “A gentleman and a young lady??” smiled the man with the ticket, ripping it and opening the door for them.
It was an amazing sight. Mirrors were everywhere and there were a dozen Kyle’s and Emily’s. “Why don’t we see who gets to the finish line first?” demanded Kyle knowing he would win. “Okay…” said Emily, doubting she would beat Kyle. Ready, set, go!! They both rushed in different directions. “I know I will win!” thought Kyle. ‘Wait, I can’t see anything except for a dozen of myself! How am I going to find the exit? Oh no… I’m trapped in the mirror room!’ Meanwhile Emily is a smart girl so she was following a man thinking he would be able to find the exit. And indeed, she was right. She had reached the exit much faster than she imagined. ‘Hurray! Kyle is going to be surprised when he sees me beating him.’ “Hello? Is there anyone here? Hello??” cried Kyle nervously hoping there would be a reply. But he only heard echoes of his own voice. “Oh no… I’m done for good!” whispered Kyle terrified of the thought of being stuck here for the rest of his life. A lot of hours passed, and Emily started to sense something was going on. ‘Kyle is good at mazes. I think he is in trouble or there is no explanation of how he hadn’t reached the exit yet.’ She knew she had to go in there and search for Kyle. Then, she found a spare rope just behind a chair. She swooped it up, tied one end to a streetlight, and one on her wrist. ‘Looks like Theseus and the Minotaur is going to become a true story.’ She thought. She raced through the maze and after a couple of minutes she found Kyle huddled up in a ball and moping. “Hey Kyle, come quick!!” And she got Kyle out before he fainted. After that incident, Kyle never went near mirrors again.
